Operational Close Protection Driver Training Based on Real-World Convoy and Crisis Experience

This theory-based module goes far beyond the basic use of vehicles in the security sector. In addition to topics such as vehicle dynamics, convoy driving, and staggered formation driving on single and multi-lane roads, the training examines driving specifically from the perspective of a close protection officer—as an integral component of professional protective operations.

Participants receive concise, practice-oriented expert knowledge in a four-hour training session, highlighting how critical solid competence in operational driving behaviour is. In real-world scenarios, a lack of experience or knowledge often leads to critical situations where quick and correct decision-making is essential.

A particular focus is placed on communication, coordination, and threat mitigation in road traffic, as well as the safe handling of escort and support vehicles. Theoretical scenarios and case studies complement the training and prepare participants for realistic operational environments.
